Absolutely, we'll work that part out.
A site that does lead generation very well is buyerzone.com. But their landing pages are not geographically targeted which of course is an advantage for us. A local site doing this will be perceived as more relevant for a visitor, and people will be more likely to fill out the form simply because it's "close to home" so to speak.
The question is though - for those of you who wants to pursue this - which markets are there in your region that might work with something like this? Buyerzone gives a good indication for the kind of markets that it works well with. They're focused on b2b markets though, there are other markets that could be suitable as well in b2c niches such as cars, finance, and other expensive stuff.
And next, what kind of search volume is there?
Use
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal to find search volume. Type in the name of your city/area in the box and you will get related terms back. You can also type in area+niche, for example type : michigan office and you will see search volume on keywords that contain these two words, for example how many search for michigan office supplies or michigan office chairs. If there is sufficient search volume it might be a relevant niche to put up a landing page about and contact local businesses to sell them leads.
